The BILLABONG QUEMAO CLASS is an event that does not have the constraints of a competition calendar with fixed dates. It is an event that only gets underway when the best wave conditions arise, waves that are the dream of any surfer in the world.
A total of 32 surfers and 32 bodyboarders selected by the organization will be tested in the big waves of El Quemao, La Santa, Lanzarote.

El BILLABONG QUEMAO CLASS es un evento invitacional de Surf y Bodyboard que no tiene la rigidez de un calendario de competición con fechas inamovibles, un evento que solo se pone en marcha cuando se dan las mejores condiciones de olas, olas que son el sueño de todo surfista.
Un formato de 32 surfers y 32 bodyboarders seleccionados por la organización que se medirán en las grandes olas del QUEMAO, La Santa, en el término municipal de Tinajo, Lanzarote.

The QUEMAO CLASS is an invitation event of 32 surfers and 32 bodyboarders selected from all over the world for their qualities in reef waves. Thus, guaranteeing a unique event full of excitements.
SOCIAL REPERCUSSION
It is not just a surfing event, but a social event where people from all the islands and part of Europe meet in a few days full of activities, thus creating a social and economic impact for the area.
MEMORIAL
Also known as “EL FULA”, he was the main reason for the birth of this event. The emblematic Canarian surfer lost his life surfing the wave of El QUEMAO on January 1, 2009. Like other international events held annually in memory of great surfers, EL QUEMAO CLASS intends to keep the memory of a great friend.
BEST WAVE
The best tube event in Europe has a special prize for the surfer who surfs the best wave during the QUEMAO CLASS. The BEST WAVE is endowed with an extra cash prize of 500 euros per category. All surfers want to register their name and be part of the history of this award.

El QUEMO CLASS es un evento invitacional de 32 surfistas y 32 bodyboarders seleccionados de todo el mundo por sus cualidades en olas de arrecife. Garantizando así un evento único lleno de emociones.
REPERCUSIÓN SOCIAL
No es solo un evento de surf, sino un acontecimiento social donde se reúnen personas de todas las islas y parte de Europa en unos días lleno de actividades paralelas, creando así un impacto social como económico para la zona.
MEMORIAL
También conocido como “EL FULA”, fue la razón principal del nacimiento de este evento. Él emblemático surfista canario perdió la vida surfeando la ola de El QUEMAO el 1 de enero del 2009. Al igual que otros eventos internacionales que se realizan anualmente en memoria de grandes surfistas, EL QUEMAO CLASS pretende guardar la memoria de un gran amigo.
BEST WAVE
El mejor evento de tubos de Europa tiene un premio especial al surfista que surfee la mejor ola durante el QUEMAO CLASS. El Trofeo BEST WAVE a la mejor ola de Surf y Bodyboard está dotado de un premio en metálico de 500€ por categoría. Todos los surfistas quieren inscribir su nombre y formar parte de la historia de este premio.
